The Women’s Premier Soccer League is the longest active women’s soccer league in the United States. Established in 1998, the WPSL has grown at an average of 12% over its 23-season history – a consistent trend rarely achieved in team sports that also makes it the largest women’s soccer league in the world.

The WPSL strives to provide the highest level of developmental opportunities for amateur players and team rosters consist of highly skilled female players from collegiate, post-collegiate, international, and stand-out prep athletes. Nearly 70% of WPSL players are current student-athletes at all prestigious division levels.

 

Why at Force FC?   At Force FC we have been building our program year after year, with the goal of improving the club each year through the development of our players, teams and our programming.   Each year we send off players from our teams into the collegiate ranks, whether playing soccer at the Division III, Division II or Division I - our players are making an impact at countless collegiate level programs.    When our former players come home from their colleges/universities each spring, they are looking to play soccer at a high level - to both re-connect with other Force FC players and also to prepare for the upcoming collegiate season.   In the past the club has tried other avenues to satisfy this need for our young women but those avenues have fallen short of what is best for the players and the club as well.  The Women's Premier Soccer League will provide the highest level of developmental opportunities for our players and will challenge them to keep pursuing their goals, while keeping the program local for our players who are dedicated and able to compete.  During a time where the soccer landscape is constantly shifting and changing, the WPSL has been the best option for young women across this country and we are proud to be added to the list of clubs competing.   

 

Force FC is proud and excited to offer this opportunity to our young women and  all female players in the Hudson Valley region.  The opportunity to continue playing the game they love, at a level that will continue to push each player to grow and continually develop their game to the next level.
